Golden Moon Milk

Golden Milk can be really helpful with  digestion, immune function, liver health so the perfect drink to make if you’re not feeling very well or having trouble sleeping.

In this recipe we are using turmeric which has lots of anti-inflammatory benefits especially when taken with black pepper which gives better absorption into the bloodstream.

All in all this is a lovely spicy drink that can help reduce stress and aids sleep which is something we all need this year.


Ingredients – to make 2 drinks

2 Tea India turmeric chai tea bags

3 slices of fresh ginger

2 cinnamon sticks

2 tbsp honey or agarve

pinch of black pepper,

2 cups of milk (dairy or plant-based)

¼ tsp of ashwagandha powder (optional)



Heat the milk In a heavy bottom saucepan until boiling, then lower the heat to a simmer.

Add the tea bags, fresh ginger, ashwagandha (if your using) and cinnamon sticks then simmer for 5 mins to allow all the flavours to infuse.

Take the saucepan off the heat removing the tea bags, cinnamon and ginger.

Add the honey and pepper giving your tea a good stir before pouring into 2 mugs.

Then simply sit back, relax and enjoy a great nights sleep!
