The black tea used in our Chai blends is from the tea gardens of Assam in the north-eastern region of India to the south of the eastern Himalayas, region.
Assam comprises the Brahmaputra Valley and the Barak river valleys along with the Karbi Anglong and the North Cachar Hills and is famous for its lush green tea gardens
The Brahmaputra Valley with its rainforest-like climate contains some of the most productive soils in the world, the perfect environment for growing delicious tea.
The tea pluckers who pick the tea for our Tea India Chai tea blends carefully select and take the top two leaves and the bud when the tea is at its freshest, to ensure that the tea we blend delivers the authentic taste of India.
